The use of food supplements has grown significantly in the past few years with the growth of quercetin based supplements. We've chosen to carry a few lines of supplements which have research based evidence that show effectiveness in reducing symptoms. To help you understand how each may work, we've included links to various speakers in our guest lectures. Before you decide to make a purchase, please review those lectures carefully. While I never intended to distribute supplements through the ICN, I made the decision to do so after several patients reported that they were told that there were no options for IC patients other than neuromodulation or extreme surgery. Hogwash! There are several options for patients to consider including a variety of medications (Elmiron, antihistamines, antidepressants, rescue instillations, etc.). For patients who have tried most therapies and are considering surgeries, food supplements may still be worth considering. Cystoprotek, for example, was shown to be effective in reducing symptoms for patients who had not responded to other therapies.
